Remote Infopanels – Italy
This project was commissioned from an italian airport: because of NDA that I had to sign, I cannot be more precise on the customer.
Remote Infopanels is a project based on one server (the backend) and 20 Raspberry Pis that pull real-time infos from it and display them in different restricted locations in the airport. The goal was to simplify the management of the many teams working in the airport.
My role in this project was to take care of the hardware part: I developed a customised Raspberry Pi solution that controls the connected monitors and fetches real-time infos from the main backend. Some hardware hacks were needed, and this was the part where I had most fun with.
